~Adult Day Care Center~
Responsibilities:
Write progress notes at least monthly, if not completed by the Registered Nurse
Assist clients in learning self-care
Monitor and record vital signs and weight (as needed)
Client teaching
Assist with personal care/ADL’s
Range of motion exercises and ambulation assistance
Administer and assist with medications under the supervision of the RN
Observe and report any client changes to the RN
Assist with therapeutic activities
Document client’s status in their record
Job Skills needed:
Oral communication skills essential when talking with clients, giving instructions, listening, etc.
Excellent communication skills
Sincere desire to work with frail elderly and other adults with disabilities
Patience and compassion
Attention to detail
Training/Requirements:
Current Georgia LPN license
Certification in CPR and First Aid
Experience within the last 3 years in a health or social services field
Proof of good health and TB test mandatory
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
